Paul E. Hinkamp graduated from Hope College in 1907. He received a bachelor of divinity degree from McCormick Theological Seminary in 1914. He served the first Presbyterian Church in Sheboygan, Wisconsin (1915-1918) before joining the faculty of Hope College as professor of bible and philosophy in 1918.
